Eelco Keij

Eelco Keij has over 15 years of experience working in the international development sector, among others as a consultant, fundraiser strategist, trainer and advocacy specialist. He has worked for UNDP, UN Women and has spent the past 10 years mostly as a NY-based independent fundraising consultant, supporting nonprofits worldwide in their strategic search for US foundation & corporation funding.

In 2015 he moved back to his native Netherlands where he started to work for the Radboud University of Nijmegen as the director of the Fundraising and Development Office, where he set up the university’s legacy giving program. As of 2018 he resides in NY again, continuing to assist international nonprofits in their fundraising efforts and as of 2022, being part of the international fundraising team of Rainforest Alliance.

Eelco received his degree in Law from the University of Nijmegen (Netherlands), the College of Europe (Poland) and Columbia Law School (US). He is both a Dutch and US citizen.
