Harriet Wallberg-Henriksson

Harriet Wallberg, MD, PhD, is a professor of Physiology at Karolinska Institutet. She was General Director at the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs at the Swedish Government between 2017 and 2020. She held the position as Head of the Swedish Higher Education Authority between 2014 and 2016. She was President of Karolinska Institutet between 2004 and 2012, were she carried out a successful fundraising campaign. Professor Wallberg is a member of Karolinska Institutet’s Nobel Assembly, which selects each year’s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
